March 8^th celebrates National Women’s Day, a day dedicated to celebrating the accomplishments of women and to recognize the challenges that women may face as they achieve their goals. While we certainly celebrate women every day, we want to take time this week to interview four influential women in honor of International Women’s Day!

Kasey Boone from Glow Skincare

Kasey Boone has taken this skincare and esthetician world by storm with her Glow Skincare Spa that offers signature facials and innovative skincare tools. Kasey is the voice behind Skin and the City Podcast, as well as the creator of the coveted Glow Towel. We interviewed Kasey to find out why this holiday is special to her:

Q: What does International Women’s Day mean to you?

“A day to celebrate the true power and magic women bring to the world.”

Q: What opportunities have you had while working with COSMEDIX to celebrate women?

“Education, events, and self-care.”

Kelsey Meraki from Meraki Studio

Kelsey Meraki’s journey in beauty began as a freelancing wedding makeup artist in 2015 before getting her esthetician license. She has a love of clean beauty and works as an esthetician at Meraki Studio that opened in 2018 in Indiana where she practices giving facials, dermaplaning, peels, and LED light therapy.

Q: What does International Women’s Day mean to you?

“International Women’s Day means celebrating women’s achievements and continuing to forge change.”

Q: What opportunities have you had while working with COSMEDIX to celebrate women?

“I’ve had so many opportunities to celebrate the women that come into my treatment room. The daily achievements of my clients I think are the sweetest. It could be anything from buying or building their own house, to getting married, having a baby, finishing their degree, going on a solo vacation, taking their health into their own hands. I see these women achieving and bettering their lives and communities; it’s such a ripple effect.”

Q: What is the product + part of your skin-care routine that you use as your self-care ritual?

“My entire skincare routine is a ritual of self-love. I use the time to prep or unwind from the day. I really love I-Complex Advanced Eye Gel; the stainless roller balls feel divine and help de puff the orbital area.”

Holly is the brand manager of COSMEDIX and works closely with the brand. “International Women’s Day to me means the global recognition taking place of one of the greatest things on earth, women! I think it’s so important that we take the time to honor and recognize all the great work and contributions women make every day. Not only to applaud ourselves, but to also come together as a community of women to support and salute other women.” 

Q: What opportunities have you had while at COSMEDIX to celebrate women?

“I consider myself very lucky to work at COSMEDIX because every day we have the opportunity to celebrate women in so many aspects. From our leadership being made up of women, to simply just empowering women to look and feel their best every day- we take every opportunity we can to commend women for all they do.”

“International Women’s Day is a day of reflection and celebration for the trailblazers that have come before us, today’s women leading the charge and excitement for the upcoming generations!”
